Submissions Guide

CALL FOR ARTICLES

 

The Habibie Center ASEAN Studies Program invites young people from ASEAN countries to submit articles for publication on our ASEAN Voices section. Our invitation is open all year round. And since we understand the anxiety of waiting for confirmation of publication—we have all been there—we will write back to every submissions, regardless of our final decision.

Before sending your articles, please note:

  • All articles should be in English with a publishable grammar. Nevertheless, please note that we put high value on strong arguments and critical thoughts
  • We expect to see 900 – 1.200 words per articles. However, we would make special case for exceptional articles.
  • Submissions must not be under consideration with other publishers, and must not be already published elsewhere.
  • We will select the best blog posts to be reprinted in THC ASEAN Studies Program Newsletter. The Newsletter will be widely circulated among relevant institutions within ASEAN countries, as well as other stakeholders.

CALL FOR VIDEOS

 

The Habibie Center ASEAN Studies Program invites university students and young people from ASEAN countries to submit videos for publication on our ASEAN Voices section. Our invitation is open all year round. And since we understand the anxiety of waiting for confirmation of publication—we have all been there—we will write back to every submissions, regardless of our final decision.

Before sending your videos, please note:

  • The video should be an original and unpublished video about relevant issues concerning ASEAN or the Southeast Asian region.
  • In submitting videos for publication, you grant The Habibie Center ASEAN Studies Program the right to edit and publish the content in this website and to archive the contents for possible republication.
  • The maximum video length is 5 minutes. 
  • We accept submission that uses the .avi, .mp4, .flv, .mkv, .mov or .wmv format.
  • Please address the following questions in the video :
    • What do you think about ASEAN?
    • What do you know about ASEAN Community?
    • What are your hopes and expectations for ASEAN Community?
    • How do you think youth contribute in the ASEAN Community?
  • Submissions must not be under consideration and/or must not be already published elsewhere.
